I was at Briciole deli and restaurant in Marylebone recently to celebrate their winning the prestigious title of ‘UK Parma Ham Specialist of the Year 2014’.
Briciole was being recognised for its passion for Parma Ham, from its use in their restaurant menu, to selling it freshly sliced in the deli. In recognition, the deli and restaurant was awarded ‘The Specialist Slicer’ at the event.
Introduced by The Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma, the Parma Ham Specialist programme acknowledges and reward stores and individuals able to communicate the true values of Prosciutto di Parma (Parma Ham).
The Specialist Programme was launched in 2013, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Ducal Crown.
Stores with clear knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the product are invited to become Specialists, with the opportunity for one UK store to be awarded ‘The Specialist Slicer’ in celebration of their dedication to Parma Ham.
