AVON: Skincare Edit

TEMPLESPA The Most Revealing - A New Oxygen Peel - New product launch

As you all know, I love my Avon products so I think I can officially call myself an Avon addict now. I love their cleansers and scrubs so much, I decided to broaden my horizons and try more of their skincare products.

Off the bat, it claims to be as high performing as other high street beauty brands and in some cases, designer brands but obviously at a more affordable price.

So this time I’ve been trying a few products from the Anew Range, starting with the Anew Clinical Advanced Resurfacing Peel which I found very interesting. Mainly because I haven’t had a peel since my teenage years when I had really bad acne and blackheads. I have to admit it wasn’t a great experience and it cost arm and a leg of course.

I got thinking about the general benefits of a facial peel – about how they can help to restore a youthful, and vibrant appearance to wrinkly, blotchy, sun-damaged skin. And of course how it can also help improve skin texture, and reduce the effects of sun damage.

Anyway my skin is in a really good place right now but I figured the occasional peel wouldn’t hurt especially one that can be done at home with the Anew Clinical Advanced Resurfacing Peel which comes in the form of a treatment pad to sweep across the face.

One sweep removes dead skin and unveils smoother, brighter-looking skin. It reduces pores as well as wrinkles and lines which is real handy on days when the skin is looking dull. I also have to highlight the fact that it costs way less than any chemical peel at a salon will cost and it’s faster.

I was really impressed and have added it to my monthly maintenance routine. I would use it weekly as recommended if I didn’t already exfoliate a couple of times a week. For effectiveness, just use 2-3 times per week, sweep the textured side of the pad over cleansed face and neck. Once dry, apply your Anew serum and moisturiser for maximum result.

Anew Clinical Hydra Recovery Overnight Mask

I haven’t used this new Hydra Recovery Overnight Mask a lot but that is because I rarely go through an entire night time skincare regiment. I usually stick to gentle, moisturising cleansing wipes at night. But the few times that I used this I liked it very much. It’s very light and absorbs quickly even though it has tiny shea butter beads in it.

I wouldn’t call it a mask as it’s not thick enough but it does the job of hydrating and repairing the skin so I have no complaints. The Shea Butter Beads burst upon contact with skin to help replenish the skin’s protective layer. It also has the ‘it’ ingredient of the moment – Hyaluronic Acid which penetrates deep into skin’s layers for maximum hydration. Daily use of the Anew Clinical Hydra Recovery Overnight Mask helps the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles fade.

Avon True Nutra Effects Mattifying Day Cream SPF15

Until I got this day cream, I had no idea how extensive the Avon True Nutra Effects range is. I’ve been using it a lot before I put on my foundation because it’s lightweight, oil-free and instantly mattifies – everything I need as I wear make up all day and need a moisturiser that will not clog my pores and also keep my skin shine-free so I’m very happy with it.

Another thing that caught my attention about this day cream is the fact that it contains broad-spectrum SPF15 protection. As I get older, I’ve come to appreciate how important it is to wear SPF15 protection regardless of skin tone so I’m happy this is already incorporated.

Formulated with Avon’s Active Seed Complex with chia seeds and mattifying mineral powders, it helps regulate oily zones, whilst moisturising dry areas, and delivers nutrients into skin.

Avon True Nutra Effects Miracle Glow Lightweight Facial Oil

If you follow me on social media, then you know I’m obsessed with oils. There’s no face or hair oil I’m not willing to give a go. So I didn’t think twice about trying this Avon True Nutra Effects Miracle Glow Lightweight Facial Oil. My first thought was that it has so many nutrients – wow 🙂

It contains 5 essential oils including:
• LINSEED to help strengthen skin’s barrier.
• MARULA to help calm and soothe skin.
• BABASSU to help boost collagen production.
• PASSIONFRUIT to help boost elastin production.
• GREEN COFFEE to help hydrate skin.

It’s super lightweight, absorbing easily without any greasy or sticky residue which is a plus and I found out that a little goes a long way. Yes, just 2-3 drops will do the trick. And it’s suitable for all skin types so I just massage into face and neck with my fingertips, sit back and wait for it to nourish my skin and give it a glow.

Clearly, I’m a big fan of Avon’s products so don’t just take my word for it, you can give it a go yourself. Click here to shop the entire skincare range.
