A good beauty haul is always recommended and a haul from beauty emporium John Bell & Croyden is even better. It really is a beauty addict’s playground, there are so many brands to explore and I always find a brand I’ve never heard of or tried when I visit.
On this recent visit, I picked a mixture of products from brands I know and use, and brands I’ve never tried before. And I can wait to share with you my experience of trying these new products. Let’s delve in …
Starting with this Payot Celluli Ultra Performance.
I’m new to this French brand but I’m for anything that can get rid of annoying dimpled, and cellulite skin. I naturally don’t have a massive cellulite problems but when I forsake the principles of healthy eating and revert back to bad eating habits full of junk food and alcohol basically what I’ve been doing this summer, it doesn’t take long for cellulite to appear on the back of my thighs.
So it’s been a great time to try this Celluli Ultra Performance. Of course eating healthier will alleviate the problem but until I do, this Celluli Ultra Performance by Payot will make sure the problem doesn’t get worse.
But for those who have a constant cellulite or orange peel problem, I’d recommend trying this product; it contains 5 fat burning active ingredients including anti-cellulite and anti-dimpled skin properties of centella asiatica and caffeine that eliminate fatty deposits and improve the appearance of cellulite.
It’s a gel cream that dispenses onto the skin via the massaging roller. Just massage it over troubled spots in an upward and circular strokes. Should start seeing reduction in cellulite after 4 weeks of continuous use.
Alpha H Liquid Gold
Next on the list is this old favourite of beauty addicts everywhere. Alpha H’s Liquid Gold needs no introduction, it is legendary in the beauty industry. Whether you have ageing skin, pigmentation problems, acne scarred skin, dull complexion or tired skin in need of a boost, Alpha H Liquid Gold is for you.
This one product really has many uses. It works as a toner, exfoliator, serum, and moisturiser, all in one. And it can radically improve the texture and appearance of skin complexion.
I’ve got large pores in places and when I’m stressed, my skin’s the first to take a hit so I use it as an overnight facial. I apply on cleansed skin and wake up with a bright, more radiant complexion – result!
Another product I picked up is this IDC Trilogy Mask. I’m new to the brand and my first time of using any of their products. As we all know, exfoliation is the key to healthy skin as it removes dead skin cells allowing new, healthier skin to come forward. I exfoliate twice a week so I could always use an exfoliation mask.
This IDC Trilogy Mask is a triple action mask meaning it uses Mechanical Enzymatic and Chemical exfoliation to give professional results at home.
It really is effective and you see immediate results. If you have dull skin, you’ll see immediate brightening and pores are minimised too. There’s also a visible improvement in skin texture almost immediately.
There are 23 products in the IDC range so I can’t wait to try more from the brand as I’m very impressed with this Trilogy Mask.
Here’s another new product I picked up, Perricone MD High Potency Face Firming Activator. It’s clinically proven to minimise the length, depth and width of a wrinkle.
It has a powerful antioxidant that minimises imperfections like fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores.
Just smooth 1-2 pumps with fingers over cleansed skin once a day and watch it minimise the signs of aging.
I also picked up this Lierac Diopti Dark Circle Correcting Cream which corrects under eye circles. It’s another French brand I’m new to. The cream comes in tinted and non-tinted version.
I went for the tinted cream. It’s great for the morning after a big night when you just can’t get rid of dark circles. It’s also light so absorbs easily and sits well underneath makeup.
I’ve heard lot of great things about Phyto Hair and I’ve been dying to try anything from the range. And now I’ve got my hands on this Phyto Plage x Brigitte Bardot Voile Protecteur which is perfect for hot summer days!
It’s a summer must have, which protects hair from sun rays. It acts like a veil against the sun’s rays and dehydration as it has a UV filter.
Finally, there’s this Uriage Eau Thermale Pure Water which enriches skin with the purest kind of hydration.
It’s made with water from the French Alps, where the water is naturally rich in mineral salts and trace elements, and is isotonic by nature, which means it respects the natural make-up of your skin whilst soothing, protecting, moisturising and strengthening the skin’s barrier.
I like Uriage Thermal Water because it’s a skincare water for daily use, a powerful treatment with trace elements and mineral salts, a source of radiance for the skin.
Thanks to its high concentration in mineral salts similar to the skin’s NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factors), it offers unique moisturizing benefits. And it soothes sensitive skins, thanks to its high content of calcium and magnesium salts. It’s very refreshing especially in the mornings before I start my makeup routine.
So there you have it, the latest skincare products I just picked up. I’m sure I’ll have plenty more visits to my favourite beauty emporium, I can’t wait.
Have you tried any products from my beauty haul or been to John Bell and Croyden? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
