New favourite: Neutrogena Hydro Boost

As a teenager fighting acne, dryness, blackheads and everything in between, Neutrogena was my saviour. But I slowly started to veer from the brand and began experimenting with other brands. The last straw that made me sever ties completely was when the blue microbeads Face Wash/Scrub was discontinued.

Anyway I moved on and haven’t looked back until now. A few weeks ago I attended the Johnson and Johnson summer showcase where I was introduced to the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost range. Everyone was singing its praises so I decided to give it a whirl and I’m glad I did. The Hydro Boost range is all about quenching the skin’s thirst and keeping it hydrated while improving the moisture barrier. This results in smooth and hydrated skin.

The entire Hydro Boost skincare line uses a combination of Neutrogena® cleansing technology, hydrating agent and Hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in skin but depletes with time, to protect the skin barrier, boost hydration and help lock it in.

The formula used ensures the lost Hyaluronic acid is replaced and acts as a sponge to absorb  1000x its weight in water to help keep skin feeling hydrated.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost® Smoothing Exfoliator Gel

The Hydro Boost range is quite extensive and covers every step of the skincare routine so l dived straight in starting with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost® Smoothing Exfoliator Gel. It’s a gel with soft, naturally derived micro beads that gently exfoliates and removes impurities whilst delivering boosting hydration in the skin. I find it to be super gentle, the beads are barely noticeable but it does leave skin soft and clean after use and impressively doesn’t dry out skin like some exfoliaters.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Micellar Water

At this point, the benefits of Micellar Water are not a secret. Almost every brand has Micellar Water in its skincare line and Neutrogena is no different. I prefer to use the new Hydro Boost Micellar Water at the end of the day because I’m not very rigorous with my night time cleansing so I need something gentle and easy to use but also reliable enough to get the job done. This one gently removes make-up and impurities, while quenching skin with a boost of vital hydration.

What can I say other than I love this gel! I actually like all the moisturisers in the Hydro Boost range. They are light, absorbs very quickly and leaves skin instantly soft to touch. Deep within skin, it also releases H2O (water) into skin all day – what’s not to like?

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser

Neutrogena Hydro Boost® Gelée Milk Cleanser

I’m  not a Milk Cleanser kind of girl, it’s not what I’ll naturally go for but I have been giving this no rinse gelée milk cleanser a go. It combines the lightness of a gel with the efficacy of a make-up remover milk. Also the formula protects the skin barrier, boost hydration and help lock it in.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Facial Wipes

This, I keep on my night stand. After a late night, it comes in real handy when I don’t have the energy to go through an entire cleansing routine. It instantly remove make-up and impurities, even waterproof mascara, while quenching skin with a boost of vital hydration.

There’s a lot more products in the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range and it’s all available nationwide at Boots. Check out the entire range on the Neutrogena website.
