Yardley London unveil new fragrances.

TEMPLESPA The Most Revealing - A New Oxygen Peel - New product launch

Last week, I attended Yardley London’s launch of two new fragrances that confirmed two things; one, I love fragrances, and two, painting with words is as far as my artistic talents go.

The brand used the opportunity to help us indulge in our artistic tendencies by painting fragrance bottles and all I can say is, some were more talented than others but hey, it’s the taking part that counts right?

Back to the fragrances, Yardley London unveiled the Royal Pink Diamond (£19.99 / 50ml) which is a romantic interpretation of the original Royal Diamond debuted back in 2012. I’d say it’s more floral and feminine than the original but has a slight kick to it. It begins with fresh, fruity top notes of mandarin, pear, peach and cassis, which lead into a floral heart of pink pepper, peony, rose and orange flower, enhanced by a warm, sensual woody base of sandalwood, cedar wood and musk.It has staying power and though light, lingers from day to night.

Housed in an elegant glass bottle with a gorgeous rose shaped lid, everything about the Royal Pink Diamond screams romance.

The brand also added to its Contemporary Classics Floral Fragrance Collection. Say hello to the new English Freesia Fragrance Collection. The new collection includes an Eau de Toilette (£9.99/50ml or £14.99/125ml), Deodorising Body Spray (£2.49) and a Nourishing Hand Cream (£4.49/100ml).

I try to think back to a time when I went for only sweet smelling or spicy fragrances but Yardley have opened me up florals. I used to think florals were too girly but I loved their English Dahlia Fragrance Collection so now I find myself wearing more florals. And my first impression of the new English Freesia Fragrance Collection is that; it’s light, citrusy, reminds me of sunshine and warmth. All the things the current weather’s not.

It an energising and uplifting floral fragrance with top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin, and cypress. The scent leads into a vibrant and aromatic floral heart that combines freesia, lily of the valley, ginger and pepper and later enhanced with a warm, sensual base of sandalwood, musk and amber.
