I do have a love-hate relationship with cola drinks, ever since I learned that it’s used to clean road kill. Don’t get me wrong, I occasionally drink a diet Coke or Coke zero but generally I stay away from the stuff.
Then I heard about Green Cola, and I had to try it; mostly because it’s been dubbed the healthiest cola on the market. Also because it’s not only different in terms of ingredients but also because it’s environmentally friendly – hence the name ‘Green’ cola.
Made in Greece in 2013, Green Cola provides a healthier cola alternative. It’s sweetened with stevia and caffeinated with green coffee beans so it contains no sugar, preservatives or aspartame.
According to the brand, the recipe took over two years to perfect, with literally thousands of attempts and recipe tinkering.’
Taste wise, I find it tastes just like other colas on the market but it is good to know it doesn’t have large quantities of sugar and other bad stuff like, Aspartame, Phosphoric Acid, preservatives, and best of all, only 2 calories!
Green Cola is basically, the closest thing to guilt-free diet cola currently on sale right now and I have to admit, it’s become my go – to drink in this current warm weather we’re enjoying. It comes in 330ml cans for 70p and 500ml PET bottles for £1.30.
Green Cola is already a big hit in Greece, Romania, Germany, Ireland and Hong Kong. In the UK, it is currently stocked by Ocado, Amazon, Tesco cafes, BP forecourt stores and artisan food and select coffee shops.
