Celebrities endorsing products is nothing new and Mariah Carey is no stranger to this kind of practice. What is new is that she has also invested in this new brand of opulent champagne called Angel.
Angel is a magnum 12-year-old vintage brut which comes in a diamond-studded leather case. Each of the 24 platinum finish bottles is individually numbered with solid platinum label, hallmarking and mounted diamonds as well as diamond-encrusted screw heads.
Ordinary Angel Champagne can be bought for £640 whilst the vintage diamond studded version goes for a cool £188,000. Angel is marketed in the UK by Vanquish, a drinks company which supplies specialist spirits and fine wines to the upper end of the catering trade.
