I have mixed feelings about this Ruby Red Smoothing Body Scrub. I’m about to throw out the half used scrub, and believe now is the perfect time to write this review. I used it twice.

The Ruby Red Smoothing Body Scrub is made of chunky salts immersed in natural essential oils of sweet mandarin, zesty lemon and bergamot, and combined with warming undertones of wild Cedarwood.

Things I love about the Ruby Red Smoothing Body Scrub

It’s suitable for all skin types.

It has no parabens, sulfates, or petrochemicals

It’s made from natural mineral salts which exfoliates and revitalises the skin, helping to draw out toxins.

If you let the residual oils dry naturally after a shower; your skin will be soft, and smelling zesty all day.

Things I didn’t love about the Ruby Red Smoothing Body Scrub

This scrub is what I call an old school scrub. The salts are a too big and too slippery that it just slides off the skin and makes a mess everywhere.

With salts that big which unfortunately has none of the quick dissolving qualities of a traditional bath / body salts; it scratches the skin very easily. Then the sweet mandarin, zesty lemon and bergamot oils turn from soothing to burning on the scratched skin which can be agony.

To sum up, I’m not completely sold on the Ruby Red Smoothing Body Scrub.
