Marks and Spencer autumn/winter 2013 collection preview

Marks and Spencer previewed its autumn/winter ranges as well as the Best of British capsule collection of clothing and accessories last week. The 100 piece collection which is sourced and manufactured in the U.K. is for both men and women.

Shoppers can expect the Best of British to land in-store on October 10 and will be sold online, at just five U.K. stores, and internationally at Marks and Spencer flagship stores in Paris and Shanghai.

The Best of British collection also marks the start of a three-year partnership between Marks and Spencer and the British Fashion Council to emphasize local design and talent.

The Marks and Spencer autumn/winter ranges feature key trends, such as “London Calling,” the firm’s nod to punk, featuring sleek leathers and animal prints, and “Modern Elegance,” which encompasses simple tailoring with luxury fabrics.

Belinda Earl, a retail veteran and the store’s new style director, said the team is already at work on a spring collection.
