Winter Fashion: Key Pieces Update.

Happy New Year guys. So another of my New Year resolutions for 2017 is to shop less. The target is to keep clothes shopping to every 12 weeks. A necessary action after discovering tons of clothing in my wardrobe still had tags on them.

I can hear you asking, what is this post about then? Well, it’s about my latest key pieces to update my winter fashion, to help me make it through to spring but in my defence, all these were bought in December so I haven’t broken my resolution yet. Now, let’s get busy!

One thing about me is, I have comfort at the forefront of my mind when shopping for clothes. They have to be on trend too but comfort trumps everything which is why I love these pieces I’ve picked from Celtic & Co.

I chose this cardigan which is perfect for dressing up but can be dressed down too. Both are pure wool, comfy and very on trend for AW17. This Celtic & Co buckle detail cardigan (£145) has long sleeves that cover from shoulders to fingers, which is very important to me because my hands are one of the few body parts I’m always cold. And what I love most about the Celtic & Co buckle detail cardigan is that, there’s no need for scarves when wearing it. It covers the neck and warms you right up. I love to wear these as layering with a pair of jeans or leggings, it’s super warm and cosy like you’d want this time of year.

My second key piece is this Celtic & Co. Wilderness Boots. It is perfect for the current weather of snow and rain. It might have been made with hiking in mind but it’s also perfect for my London commute in this weather. I love pairing it with my favourite M & S grey jeggings or my other key piece for the season – a fleece lined leggings from Primark.

I currently live in this soft and super warm leggings. It’s black so naturally goes with all things and whether rain, shine or snow, it gets the job done. It’s also has built in control so supports and controls saggy bits. Definitely worth more than the £6.99 I paid for them. I love them.

My final indulgence was grabbing 3 stylish yet reasonably priced accessories from Mango. I got myself this awesome shopper. It was on sale, so I snagged it for £12.99 instead of the usual £19.99. I love the colour – I’ve been on the hunt for a brown tote to match my many brown boots which I find myself wearing more and more recently. It’s also very roomy meaning it’s great for shopping on weekends and perfect to hold all my essentials for work during the week. Even my EliteBook laptop fits in, need I say more?

I also got this Pocket hobo bag which is also very roomy and fit for purpose and my final splurge was this Perforated panel clutch. I needed a bit of colour in my wardrobe so I fell in love with this the moment I laid eyes on it. Not used it yet but the year is young 🙂

So that’s me done with fashion and accessories shopping till March (here’s hoping). Have you updated your wardrobe lately? Share your recent gems in the comments below.
