British luxury label Burberry has finally ventured into the world of automatic timepieces. The new range of four different watches for men dubbed ‘The Britain’ come in a series of distinctive metals.
Each takes inspiration from Burberry’s trademarks: the unusual round-edged square face is based on the shape of D-rings that finish off their trenches and the fabric straps include visible stitching reminiscent of their coats.
The watches feature self-winding movements hand-made in Switzerland, custom designed bolts and circular Geneva Stripes engraved (or “damaskeened”) on the movement itself, as well as a Burberry logo on the rotor.
