On a night I decided to go on a little health kick to shed a few pounds, going to Spaghetti House was probably not a wise decision but the visit had been planned weeks ahead and their menu, much like our delightful waiter, Francesco, was too hard to resist.
Delicious food doused in olive oil, friendly staff not to mention a great ambience, I enjoyed my Spaghetti House experience to the max. Italian chefs, Italian waiters, and three generation of an Italian family having a hearty meal at the next table very much reminded me of the Sopranos. A very stereotypical description, I know but my point is, the fact that native Italians are more than happy to dine at Spaghetti House is an endorsement in itself.
I will get to the menu in a minute but at the end of the night, I mentioned to my friend how absurd it was that we went to a Spaghetti House and actually forgot to eat spaghetti. We stuck to seafood starters, salads, steaks and lamb not to mention delicious red wine from Italy!
Starters:

This couscous like pasta is from the Sicily area. Combined with the sauteed prawns, it’s a delight.

Yes, it all tastes as good as it looks.
Main:

I bet I know what you are thinking right now, did she eat two main courses on her own? No! I had my colleague / photographer with me. He had the lamb, and I had the steak.

Interior:

This was my first visit to Spaghetti House but I am already planning another visit at the weekend. Naturally, any health kick diet will have to take a back seat as the food is generous and hearty and the people and atmosphere is so welcoming, saying no is not an option:)
