Beauty Addict … New in from Mary Kay

If you love all things beauty, then you probably have encountered Mary Kay. It is one of the most prolific beauty brands out there, with new products introduced almost every month.

And it’s that time again, earlier this summer Mary Kay unveiled new products at the beautiful Dalloway Terrace. It wasn’t a particularly sunny or warm day but who can resist cocktails, makeovers and a good cause? The brand promised to donate £1 to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity for every photo posted on social media with #MaryKayPinkPositive hastag.

The new collections ranged from body and skincare products to limited edition eye colour quads, lipsticks and blushes. It really was a beauty addicts’ wet dream.

Let’s start with the new Mary Kay Believe + Wonder Collection, which is a scented bath and body collection. Each contains a shower gel, body lotion and fragrance mist.

The Believe + Wonder Collection comes in Sail to the moon infused with pink grapefruit, coral honey suckle and silky musk for a whimsical and romantic scent)

Paint the Sky infused with Blackcurrant. Sandalwood, orange blossom, velvet musk for a sweet and uplifting aroma.

And Chase a Rainbow, layered with Crispy pear, Alphonso mango, Jasmine and Amber for a light and refreshing fragrance. Fragrance mists are a big trend now, I’ve been using mists from Rituals and Yardley London so this will be a great addition, It’s a great alternative to fragrances especially on a hot day, and they have a cooling quality too.

Here’s another new thing I love – this new Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner Pen. Check out the tip, it’s a no drip precision tip – perfect for achieving killer cat flicks. It’s quick drying, flake proof and fade resistant. And while it has staying power when applied, it comes off quite easily when you use a washing cloth immersed in warm water. 

Here’s another of my favourites, the Limited Edition Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colour Quad…

It’s so pigmented! It comes in two shades, Shades of Jade and Berry Haute. Because it’s so colourful, it blends really well regardless of your skin tone. Check out of the swatches below:

Finally, here’s the new Mary Kay Gel Semi-Shine and Semi-Matte Lipstick. The Mary Kay Gel Semi-Shine comes in 12 shades, and the Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick comes in 8 shades.

As you can see, it is highly pigmented so stays on longer. It glides easily thanks to the gel formula and both collections have ‘Cushion Matrix Technology’ which blurs out minor imperfections and promotes long wear.
