Anyway, the Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula has been around for a while and I’ve been dying to try it so here we go. It’s all natural, free from parabens, sulphates and free from other nasties so it’s right up my street.
The entire range is also infused with Jamaican Black Caster Oil which has a strong lipid content that helps relieve dry, itchy scalp while protecting hair from styling damage.
The main purpose of this Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula is to moisturise and smooth frizzy hair, it also replenishes moisture and nutrients. The benefits of olive oil in body and skincare are many so I’m not going to go through the long list but the bottom line is, the range is good and promotes healthy hair.
I am currently transitioning my hair to natural and yes I have amassed quite a collection of natural and sulphate free hair products but in my opinion , you can never have enough – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
So back to Palmer’s olive oil range, it’s got me excited about wash days again. When transitioning, relaxed hair tends to be more susceptible to tear and breakage so I restrict wash days to just once a week as constant combing inevitably leads to tears.
Palmer’s® Olive Oil Smoothing Shampoo
First step of wash day is always shampooing, and this creamy green coloured Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo is just what the doctor ordered. A little goes a long way and when added to wet hair, it produces rich lather which gets rid of build-up. I always shampoo my hair 3 times to ensure all dirt and grime is gone before I move on to the conditioning phase.
Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo contains a balanced blend of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Hair Keratin Amino Acids and Vitamin E which cleanses thoroughly and leaves hair softer, and easier to style. And stronger too.
Palmer’s® Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner
Conditioning is such an important step when it comes to hair care. Personally, my hair texture is stubborn and styling can sometimes be a headache so whether my hair is going to be manageable or not is based on the strength and effectiveness of the conditioner I use.
If it’s a leave in, I always leave it on longer – usually 15-20 mins, even if like this Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Replenishing Conditioner, all that is needed is 5 minutes. This Olive Oil Formula Replenishing Conditioner is very rich and increases moisture levels making my hair very manageable.
Palmer’s® Olive Oil Formula™ Strengthening Leave-In Conditioner
This Leave-In Conditioner is for daily use, to give the benefits of the Olive Oil Formula Replenishing Conditioner on a daily basis. Usually a day or two after wash day, my hair can revert back to it’s stubborn old ways so a Leave-In Conditioner softens and makes it manageable.
It’s a lightweight spray that helps control frizz, adds shine, and reduces split ends. It also detangles and acts as a heat protectant from styling damage.
Palmer’s® Olive Oil Conditioning Spray Oil
I do love oils, whether it’s for the face, body or hair so I’m loving this Conditioning Spray Oil. It’s ideal for braids and weaves, just a pump or two nourishes the scalp and makes my hair even softer and manageable on a daily basis.
Palmer’s® Olive Oil Deep Conditioner
This is calling in the big guns! When your hair is in trouble – as in dry, breaking, split-ends, this Deep Conditioner will correct it. Just use it 2-3 times a week, or as often as required for deep conditioning.
Although it’s also not a bad idea to deep condition your hair every 4-6 weeks as part of a maintenance system even if your hair is not in trouble.
I do this every 4 weeks, I just apply a generous amount of Palmer’s® Olive Oil Formula™ Deep Conditioner to my damp hair after shampooing.
When I’m in deep conditioning mood, I leave conditioner on for up to an hour and half just so my hair can get all the good nutrients it needs.
This Palmer’s® Olive Oil Formula™ Deep Conditioner is super creamy and loaded with extra virgin olive oil and fortified with exclusive Botanical Scalp Complex to strengthen and make hair healthier. It’s definitely worth a try.
So that’s the Palmer’s® Olive Oil Formula™. Have you tried it yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
