After years of no mention, Olay is firmly on my radar and on my favourites lists. I’ve gone from thinking of it as a skincare brand for old people to reviewing three of their products in as many weeks. I’ve come to appreciate how extensive the Olay skincare product list is and how it caters to both older and younger skin.
I picked up this Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths at Superdrug out of curiosity, it comes in two varieties, for normal and sensitive skin. I chose the Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths Micellar clean – normal skin grapeseed extract.
It’s water activated dry cloths that cleanses, removes makeup, exfoliate, improve skin look and preserve moisture.
As far as multipurpose skincare products go, it’s fair to say that this Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths ticks all the boxes.
It’s a quick and convenient way for a thorough cleansing routine without any fuss or mess. All that’s needed is a little bit of water to activate the cloth.
I like the fact that it offers convenience, and can be used on the go; it also comes in real handy when travelling. It takes care of skin prep without having to carry a cleanser, toner, mask or scrub and there will be no bumping heads with airport security so that’s a big plus.
Putting it to the test, this Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths is very easy to use – it’s easily activated by wetting it with a few drops of water and massaging it in my hands. It’s soap-free but has a very rich lather (I’m not sure how that works) but I use it as I will any cleansing cloth. I apply it all over my skin and neck, rinse it out with water and apply it again to replenish skin’s natural hydration and leave skin feeling fresh and clean.
It’s very soft on skin, I expected a little roughness as it’s meant to exfoliate skin as well but there was none.
On my first try, I did use a toner after because I wanted to see if there was any dirt or makeup residue, and I’m happy to report there was none. It really does remove dirt, oil, makeup including mascara so it does a great job of thoroughly cleansing skin and left it hydrated after use. There’s no need for a toner, after use, just a touch of moisturiser or in my case, a serum then a face oil to complete.
As I have mentioned before, I like the convenience of this Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths – it simplifies my skincare routine especially if I’m in a rush. It’s also perfect for travel or after gym shower.
I also like that it’s multi-purpose, and the idea of a daily facial. It’s so rich and soothing, it offers a bit of pampering with every use.
This new Olay Daily Facials 5-in1 Dry Cloths is available at Boots and Superdrug stores nationwide at £4.99 and £6.99 respectively.
