I know it’s early in the year but I’ll go on the limb and say the My Protein Bake at Home range is one of my favourite things of the year so far.
Like most of you, I am not only undertaking the challenge of Dry January, I’m also on a detox. I’ve never been a sugar addict, I routinely skip dessert not for health reasons but because I don’t have a sweet tooth, I’m more of a savouries girl.
But since the turn of the year, I find myself craving dessert which I of course can’t have because I currently live on vegetables and pure protein which I’m quickly becoming sick of.
Last week I was rooting in my kitchen cupboards looking for something to snack on when I came across this Protein Mug Cake Mix and My Protein Flapjack mix I was gifted last year.
I was ecstatic at my discovery because it ticked all the boxes on my health goals – it’s easy and quick to make; the mug cake takes a minute to make, it’s high in protein and low in sugar and carbs. Let’s just say, I’ve found my new best friends.
My Protein Mug Cake Mix
The Protein Mug Cake Mix comes in three flavours – Blueberry Cheesecake, Natural Chocolate and Salted Caramel. I have the Salted caramel flavour which contains over 25g protein per serving, is high in fibre and is ready in under a minute.
After a meal, I just scoop one spoonful into a mug, add unsweetened soy milk and nuke it in a microwave for 1 minute and voilà an amazing, guilt free dessert! No wonder I’m addicted 🙂
My Protein Flapjack mix
The Flapjack does require a bit more effort, it takes about 20 minutes to make. It’s the perfect high protein snack with no surprising nastiness. It has 7g protein per flapjack, low in sugar and carbs, and suited for vegetarians.
If you’d like to give My Protein Home baking mixes a go, you can shop the range here.
I’d recommend it if you’re trying to reach your health goals, and build lean muscles. They are yummy too!
