Every product launched by Huda Kattan has been a hit thanks to her cult following. I’m a fan of her eyeshadow palettes myself – I like the vibrancy and colours, although I have issues with some of the textures. But that’s for another blog post.
This post is to talk about the latest offering from Huda – Wishful. It’s her first tentative steps into the realm of skincare. The Wishful range has been around for a few months now – since February and now that the hype surrounding it has died down, I thought it the perfect time to give it a try.
The range is made in South Korea, which is an instant plus in my eyes as K-beauty is still way ahead of the UK in the skincare game. WISHFUL is a cruelty-free skincare line focused on showing results and granting all your skincare wishes.
Wishful Yo Glow

Starting with Wishful Yo Glow, an enzyme scrub made with pineapple and papaya enzymes, as well as AHA and BHA – both of which are soluble acids made from sugary fruits. The ingredients help peel away the surface of the skin so that new, more evenly pigmented skin cells may generate and take their place.

As its name suggests, it’s all about revealing new, glowing skin. Wishful Yo Glow promises to give you the radiance you have always wished for. It’s for you if you wish for a healthy glow, re-texturising, brightening and an even skin tone.
I find Wishful Yo Glow to be like an old school scrub because so much of scrubs these days are grainy. Once I applied it to my skin, I could see the particles at work, my skin’s surface peeling off in real time.

It’s a little watery than I expected but that’s not a negative other than, it will run out quicker. I was hooked after my first use – I mean, who doesn’t like radiant? I expect to use Yo Glow 3-4 times a week in my skincare routine which is what’s recommended by Huda in order to see the full impact of the product.
Thirst Trap Cocoon Mask

Next is this Thirst Trap Cocoon Mask. I love a good, rich mask and this doesn’t disappoint. Soaked in Aloe vera, Hollyhock Rose, Caffeine and Sodium Hyaluronate, I loved how plump and radiant my skin looked after sitting with this mask for 30mins.

It’s what I’d expect from a good K-beauty mask and it does its job. It gives instant hydration, softer and soothed skin, and a dewy glow. It’s highly recommended at least once a week to show your skin some love.
Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask

And then there is the Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask – a fabric hydrogel that promises to give the appearance of a lifted, sculpted chin in 20 mins. To be honest, I was skeptical of this one but to be fair, I’m always skeptical of beauty products that promise to lift boobs, bums, and faces because such products are topical and it’ll be difficult to make structural changes with a topical product.

That said, I don’t have any sagging skin around my face or chin so I didn’t see any difference after wearing the Chin Lift for 30 mins, but I have seen some videos and images on the Wishful online pages that show great before and after photos.

It’s a stretchy mask that loops around the ears to cup the chin and cheeks. It also contains peppermint, Niacinamide, peptides and Adenosine. I’m looking forward to giving it another try as I get older.
On a whole, not bad for Huda Kattan on her first skincare outing. I’ll recommend two out of the three products, as the jury is still out on the Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask.

Wishful Skincare is available in all online beauty retailers – Cultbeauty, Lookfantastic, among others.
