I’m a huge fan of E.L.F cosmetics, they’re constantly launching new products, it’s affordable and some of the products aren’t bad for the price.
It’s one of those brands that I stack up on, leave it alone for a while so I can use what I’ve bought and then I circle back after months to check out what’s new.
Just before Christmas, I decided to check in with ELF, and find out what’s new – it turns out a lot. There are new makeup palettes, new skincare products, and new tools. It’s quite a lot and I picked a few that caught my eye, so let’s see what I have in my haul and what’s new with ELF cosmetics UK.
Let’s start with the skincare because surprisingly, this is my first time using ELF skincare products.

This Hydrating Bubble Mask, caught my eye because I’m a big fan of skincare products that hydrate and make skin supple.

This mask is a gel that turns into foam when applied on skin. It’s feels very cool on the skin but feels strange when it starts to bubble.

The instructions are on the packaging and it’s quite simple to use. Simply apply the gel to dry skin, leave it to sit for 5-10 minutes while it fizzes into bubbles, once the bubbles dissipate, use fingertips to massage residue into skin, apply warm water and wipe off.

It has a nice smell although it’s fragrance free.

And I liked it because it actually did the job. It cleansed my skin quite thoroughly and it didn’t dry it out – something you usually see with masks.
E.L.F Makeup Remover Balm

This is an interesting one, I like the compact nature of this balm and the convenience it provides. It easily fits in a purse for when you’re on the go, going to the gym after work or when you don’t have your entire skincare routine products at hand.

It removes makeup from eyes, lips, and face with nourishing Green Tea without any oily residue.

Just apply on dry skin, and massage with fingertips, then rinse off with warm water. One thing I’d say is to make sure you use a toner afterwards because on the times I’ve used this, there hasn’t been any oily residue but there had been some makeup residue. Check out how to use this Makeup Removal Balm on my IGTV.
ELF Mix To Match Adjuster

These two are probably the new products I’m most excited about. We’ve all had the misfortune of buying a foundation, only to get home to realise it’s not quite our shade, I know I have. Instead of taking it back, these Match Adjusters are perfect for tweaking until you find your perfect shade. The Match Adjusters come in two shades – Tan For Neutral Tones and Dark to Deepen and you can use them to lighten, bronze or deepen your foundation based on the seasons.

Next is this eye duo, which perfectly complement each other in my opinion especially if you like to wear barely there makeup on a day to day basis.

E.L.F Matte To Metal Eye Primer Transformer – Glimmering Gold

This Matte to Metal Eye Primer is long-wearing and crease-proof , and can transform everyday eyeshadow into a luminous look. It’s a creamy formula so can be worn alone for a pop of shimmer or under eyeshadow to transform matte textures to shimmer.

E.L.F Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer – Sheer

This Eyelid Primer preps eyelids for a smoother, longer-lasting and crease-proof eyeshadow application. It’s a lightweight liquid formula so quickly absorbs into the skin for comfortable wear.

It preps eyes for eyeshadow application to increase staying power, vibrancy and to avoid creasing.

Just apply a thin coat to the eyelid and blend in. Allow it to dry before applying eyeshadow.
Finally, I grabbed their Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls and a Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette Summer Breeze, as you do when you’re at E.LF.

You wouldn’t expect to use a summer palette this time of year but I really like the reddish shades, I think it’s perfect for A/W. It’s a 10 shade palette grouped into Bold, Subtle and Everyday looks.

It’s a smooth texture that blends easily, and also lasts all day. Although it is lacking in pigmentation. It has to be applied a few times for the colour to pop.

E.L.F Moonlight Pearls Baked Highlighter

I’ve got this in Rose Gold and Bronze Glow but I couldn’t resist the shimmering colour of this Moonlight Pearls. It’s very smooth and doesn’t crease but lacks in pigmentation. If you have a darker complexion, you’d have to build it up. But once you have it on, it does give a glowy highlighter look.

As always, E.L.F cosmetics is available online and at Superdrug stores nationwide.
