Malaysia Night 2014

The 2014 Malaysia Night took place at Trafalgar Square last Friday (26th October). Now in its 5th year, the event which is hosted by Malaysia Kitchen is already a popular annual event with over 40,000 people turning up this year.

The night had a food truck atmosphere but without the trucks. Instead, there were 20 food stalls occupied by Malaysian restaurants in London serving an array of dishes including Assam Laksa, Satay, and Rendang to mention a few.

There were also cookery demonstrations by 2014’s Masterchef champion, Ping Coombes and Masterchef 2011 champion Dhruv Baker, among others. The night also had entertainment from traditional Malaysian dancers and singers throughout the night.

It was a fantastic way to end the working week – delicious food, entertainment and sing-alongs.
