When we got the invite to try out Bootcamp Pilates’ new MOTR® Body Blitz, we jumped at the chance to discover what London’s premier Pilates studio, has in store for fitness fans this year.
The special class took place last Saturday at Bluebird Chelsea followed by a healthy breakfast. As big fans of reformer Pilates, we were excited to find out what MOTR® Body Blitz is all about.
MOTR® Body Blitz is a 45-minute class that uses the power of aerobic conditioning and the balance and release exercises of a foam roller. The MOTR® machinery used tests the body’s alignment, balance, agility, core control and functional movement patterns.
There’s a lot we loved about the new class, we found it challenging and fun. The foam roller is a lot smaller compared to the reformer machine so it allowed for a wide range of movements and a lot of variety.
We loved how it works the legs, thighs, butts and abs at the same time while stabilizing the weaker part of the body to help achieve greater balance. We recommend it!
It is a great class to take if you want to add a bit of variety to your Pilates workouts
Be prepared to sweat and be out of breath if you are not fit but at the end of the class, you will feel relaxed and invigorated. Also, expect to be sore for a few days as the class works muscles you haven’t used or worked in a while.
The MOTR® Body Blitz class will be available on a regular basis at the Notting Hill and City studios. Price of one class is £21.
