More than just a cooking class:
Last night was my fourth visit to Thai restaurant Mango Tree and the experience gets better with each visit.
This latest visit was for a Thai cooking masterclass taught by celebrity chef Ian Pengelley.
The night was more than just a cooking lesson; it was a fun night of interactive cooking, a joking chef and good food. The cooking masterclass lasted half an hour – just long enough to keep the attention of a drinking bunch and the rest of the evening was dedicated to good food, drink and getting to know new people.
There is something about Mango Tree that makes it so inviting; the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food is magnificent and the relaxed atmosphere somehow makes it easier to talk to complete strangers you just met.
The masterclass which takes place every quarter is a great way to spend a brilliant evening with friends, try your hands at Thai cooking and enjoy a delicious three course meal.
The masterclass taught how to make a Thai sushi, a Thai vegetable starter and traditional Malaysian bread and peanut sauce followed by a three course dinner with unlimited wine and cocktails. It was a fantastic way to spend a Wednesday evening!
