John Galliano gets the sack.

John Galliano hasn’t had a easy week. After the media frenzy surrounding him in past few days, Christian Dior have decided to give their chief designer the sack after a brief suspension.

It all started when Galliano hurled racist and anti-Semitic comments at a couple at Paris’s hip Marais district.

I think it was the right decision despite Galliano’s 15 year association with the fashion powerhouse. Anything other than a dismissal would have caused a boycott of the brand especially when brand representative Natalie Portman has released a statement saying she was disgusted by the whole incident and want nothing to do with Galliano.  John Galliano has really shot himself in the foot; I can’t see a comeback from this.
