Whether you are an amateur baker, long to learn tricks of the trade or a seasoned pro, the Cake international show at Excel is the place to be this weekend. In its second year, the Cake International – The Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating & Baking Show offers cake lovers recipes, the latest sugarcraft and cake decorating tips, and baking supplies from over 100 exhibitors.
The show will also have fun and educational activities such as Taste of Sugar Mini-Workshops hosted by Inspired Creations for sugarcrafting newcomers. While baking legends Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood and 2012’s Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite will meet fans in a question and answer session.
Visitors can also discover top tips and baking inspirations in the bakery and demonstration theatres where some of the greatest sugarcrafting, cake decorating and baking experts will be showcasing their talents. Renowned talents such as Maisie Parrish and Celebrity Crafter of the Year 2012 and TV sensation Stephanie Weightman will be creating signature pieces including Cute Baby with pet Westie share their expertise in cake decorating and painting while expert chef Sean Bird will also be on hand to guide visitors through step-by-step cake recipes.
There will also be plenty of competition classes, visitors can choose from Decorated Celebration Cake, Two-tiered Wedding Cake, Cupcakes, among others.
