Over the years, I’ve come to love Spaghetti House’s themed menus and so far, I haven’t been disappointed. I was at the Westfield London branch two weeks ago for their Free – Flow Prosecco menu. That’s right, all the prosecco you can drink with your meal. Now, I hear there’s a special Christmas menu coming up – from 21 November to 24 December.
Always affordable and still very tasty, the menu will be made with carefully sourced ingredients, freshly prepared, cooked and readily served.
The mouth-watering Christmas menu include speciality starters such as Crema di Ceci e Castagne – cream of chickpea and chestnut soup, with porcini mushroom croutons, drizzled with rosemary oil and Involtini di Melanzane al Forno – baked aubergines filled with basil & ricotta with a fresh tomato sauce.
From the main courses, there’s a choice of something light and tasty such as Branzino allo Scalogno – seabass with shallot dressing and balsamic drops, or go for the full flavoured Medaglioni di Manzo – beef tenderloin medallions in red wine sauce & smoked sautéed potatoes.
There’s also the temptation of the Tortelloni Funghi & Tartufo – handmade pasta parcels with mushrooms and black truffle, with a creamy mushroom sauce offset by crispy sage & lemon zest.
And of course, an Italian Christmas wouldn’t be the same without Panettone, and Spaghetti House has re-invented this gorgeous Christmas cake as Bruschetta di Panettone – winter fruit compote on toasted traditional panettone slice.
There is also a tasty Sbriciolata di Mele – apple crumble Italian style as well as crowd favourite Tiramisu.
There’ll also be choices of Cocktail di Gamberetti – classic prawn cocktail, Pate’ di Fegatini – chicken liver pate’, Roast Norfolk Turkey with all the trimming and a stunning Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce.
Are you salivating reading this as much as I am writing it? I’ll race you to the nearest Spaghetti House haha. See you there …
The new Christmas menu will offer a choice of two courses at just £16.95 or three at £19.95, with the option of including half a litre of wine to the three course menu for just £10 more.
