Huda Beauty’s Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes have been the buzz on Instagram since they were announced. Being limited edition definitely helped; every MUA wanted a sneak peek and to create looks with the palettes. So here they are, the Nudes were available on the Huda Beauty website on the 9th of October and now available nationwide.
The limited-edition trio of NUDES offer a combination of warm, neutral and cool shades in complementary mattes and shimmers to suit every skin tone and eye colour.
The palettes come in Light, Medium and Rich, and contain a range of five buttery matte shades and four complementary, shimmery metallic shades.
Explaining the thinking behind the new limited edition palettes, Huda Hattan said, “My nude is not the same as your nude and I’m aware of that and sensitive to it. So, we approached eyeshadow with this in mind, to prove we understand it and we’re doing something about it beyond complexion.”
Beyond the palettes being 3 nudes with shades to suit all skin tones; the brand is clearly trying to make sure its portfolio of products is diverse and inclusive enough, it’s a move I applaud.
Back to the palettes, I found that they could be mixed and matched to create more creative looks regardless of skin tone and the one huge bonus for me is that the shimmery shades in each palette are not as flaky as other palettes I’ve tried.
A closer look …
NUDE Light
A beautiful balance of light and creamy praline hues in both warm and cool tones. It features peachy shades with unexpected pops of lavender and mauve. The champagne and brown shimmers also add dimension to each and every look.
NUDE Medium
This versatile palette is a rich mix of spicy tones combining chestnuts and deep browns. It features metallic shimmers in warm yellow and rose gold tones, rustic copper, dusty pink, coral and unique terracotta shades.
NUDE Rich
This is a collection of rich, creamy matte shades inclusive of milky and dark chocolate browns, crimson red, dusty rose and sandy fawn with pink undertones. Burnished gold, blushed bronze, dusty rose and deep brown metallic complete the palette with shimmer and dimension.
