It’s been a while since I got my hands on makeup that I thought was pure fun. The new Kiko Milano Pop Revolution pieces I got my hands on, evoked that feeling for me. The colourful collection brought out my need to experiment and have fun. It also has a nostalgic quality to it – from its pop art cues and eccentric graphic lines packaging to its vinyl record shaped eye palettes.
Pop Revolution 03 Bordeaux – Gold
This palette comes in three shades; I have the Bordeaux Gold. It’s not a shade combination I’d put together but that’s what I mean by being fun. I was hesitant but it turned out to work really well together.
The shades are really pigmented and have enough shimmer to create a look the pops. It works well during the day when wearing a single shade but it also transitions well into night, if you want to create a two-tone glamourous look.
Blush To Go & Highlighter To Go
These come in stick form so it’s easy to apply to skin and not a lot of blending to do once it’s on skin.
This satin-finish stylo lipstick comes in eight tones. I have Rossetto.
I found it to be very creamy in texture and almost gloss like. I do prefer lipsticks that stay all day regardless of what you eat and drink. This isn’t like that. It needs reapplication throughout the day but on the other hand, it’s moisturising and like the eyeshadow shades, it can transition into an evening look.
Pop Revolution Eyebrow Marker
This eyebrow marker is my favourite product in the collection because I’m currently on the hunt for an eyebrow liner that is reliable – doesn’t rub off and is easy to apply, the slanted tip makes this super easy to apply and it’s affordable too. It’s by far my favourite. It comes in 3 shades, I have 03.
The entire Kiko Milano Pop Revolution collection is more extensive than what I’ve mentioned here but that’s because these are the ones I’ve tried,
