It’s been a while since a product came out of the blue to exceed my expectations. This Nereus London Shampoo has managed to do just that.
Nereus London is a new sustainable beauty brand that is plastic-free using bottles made from 100% recyclable BPA Free Aluminium and uses aromatherapy in its products.
When I received a sample, I wasn’t expecting the product to work any different from what’s already on the market.
I’ve been using all-natural hair care products for some time now and they are all sulphate and paraben-free but this Australian buddha wood & bergamot natural shampoo has been pleasantly surprising.
It’s arguably one of the best hair softening shampoos I have ever used. It cleanses the scalp really well too, getting rid of product build up but it’s the softening ability I’m most impressed with.
Usually, I have to apply conditioners, serums, and hair pudding to make my hair soft and manageable after I wash it. With this shampoo, I can air dry my hair which I do for 24 hours, and then add in conditioner. No need to drench my hair with so much product just to make it soft and manageable.
This Nereus shampoo does a good job of keeping hair hydrated and soft for up to a week. A very impressive feat you don’t get with most shampoos – trust me with the kind of hair I have, I’ve checked.
I did a little digging to see what made this shampoo different. It’s the active ingredients. The Australian buddha wood & bergamot natural Shampoo contains:
- Guarsafe Soft 6: a modified guar gum that conditions and smooths the hair.
- Pomegranate Enzymes: exfoliates the scalp and helps remove build-up that accumulates on the hair over time.
- Witch Hazel Water: provides astringent, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial effects for the treatment.
- Phytessence Wakame: maintains skin firmness, elasticity, and smoothness supports skin regeneration and defends against environmental stress. It provides anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, moisturising, and anti-elastase effects for cleansing and caring.
My only regret is not having the accompanying conditioner to try together with the shampoo. But if it’s anything like the shampoo, I’ll be raving about it. You can grab Nereus shampoos and conditioner to try here.
