Review: Zen Zen Coconut Ice Cream

I know it’s not exactly sunny but technically it is summer and let’s face it, sometimes you just want a treat so it’s no surprise I have ice cream on my mind.

But like most people trying to live a healthy lifestyle, I like my treats but I want healthy treats that will satisfy my sweet tooth and still be light in calories, and have some health benefits.

A few weeks ago, I shared and reviewed the benefits of WheyHey protein ice cream and this week, I bring you ZenZen coconut ice cream – a healthy non-diary ice cream alternative.

I had a brief chat with Jonathan Cole, the man behind the brand who was kind enough to give some samples (vanilla and coconut milk & mango) flavours to try.

Taste Test:

I had the opportunity to try vanilla as well as coconut milk & mango flavours, ZenZen is very creamy with the consistency of regular ice cream and sorbet. It also has a very distinctive taste – coconut milk with vanilla or mango, imagine the burst of flavours; it’s delicious with an exotic twist.  ZenZen is a delightful, milky dessert – definitely worth a try.
