Gemini 10313s Tablet Device reviewed.
Cheaper than my Samsung phone which also runs on Android but with much more storage space; I’m in love with my Gemini 10313s tablet device. It might be the cheapest Android tablet on the market at the moment but it holds its own against the big guns.
The device comes in glossy white plastic on the rear, trimmed around the edges in matte silver, and isn’t as bulky or heavy like other cheap tablets on the market. It tips the scales at 672g – around the same as an iPad 3 – and is a slim 10mm thick.
The resolution, 1,024 x 768 is nothing special but it uses the same IPS technology as the iPad, giving bright, colourful images and exceptional viewing angles.
The Gemini tablet device is brilliant for gaming and movies, I downloaded and tried some of my favourite games – Tetris, Mario Brothers and Sonic the hedgehog among others and found each one played smoothly, hardly dropping a frame.
The device also coped effortlessly with Full HD video playback, delivering local files and streaming online movies smoothly from apps like Showbox without any lag, and a Mini HDMI output means the tablet can output video to an HD TV, too.
Another thing I love about the Gemini tablet device is its versatility when it comes to reading formats. No offence to Kindle but if I shell out for a tablet, I’ll like to be able to read all manner of documents on it. This device allows for both PDF and Kindle downloads which is very much appreciated.
Other highlights of the device include front and rear mounted cameras; plenty of storage options for media content, with 16GB built-in storage supplied as standard, and a Micro-SD slot to add a further 32GB any time; built-in Bluetooth technology to connect wirelessly with the growing number of Bluetooth enabled accessories; and Micro USB to hook up to a PC.
